Praying for a CHANGE —Possibilities

Have you ever felt like you were facing an impossible situation?  Have you ever thought, God if you can?  God’s answer would be the same as what he said to the father of the possessed boy in Mark 9….“What do you mean, ‘If I can’?” Jesus asked. “Anything is possible if a person believes.”  Mark 9:23 NLT

When you are trying to overcome these doubts run to the Scriptures and seek out the truth:  Here is why I am sure that God is willing and able.

  1. God is for us, Jesus died for us!!!  Romans 8:31,32
  2. God made everything from nothing, He placed himself in the womb of a virgin – was born, lived a perfect life, died for our sin, and rose again.

The story in Mark 9 teaches us four essential truths to seeing God turn our impossibilities into possibilities:

  1. Ask in faith – vs 23
  2. Connect with Jesus – vs1-13, 17,18
  3. Spend time alone with God in prayer – vs 29
  4. Surrender to God’s will – vs 27

He replied, “Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.” Matthew 17:20

If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.  John 15:7

Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart.  Psalm 37:4

Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him and he will do this: Psalm 37:5; Proverbs 3:5,6

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledged him, and he will make your paths straight.  Proverbs 3:5,6

What is that situation or circumstance, that hurdle that you just can’t overcome that is keeping you from the life that God is calling you to? Release it into God’s hands and receive His help.
